Before leaving California we stopped at Ocean Beach and then did a session at the San Diego temple. Here’s a few things we learned there.
We learned the “long” in “long romantic walks on the beach” is relative.
We learned that Lisa still knows enough Spanish to do a temple session in Spanish. We also learned just how heavenly light can be.

A session in Spanish?! Impressive!

I went to Mexico a few months after my mission and got real good at doing Spanish sessions there. I wasn’t sure I could still do it, so I had the headphones. But I ended up turning them off shortly into the session because I found myself listening to both languages and it was too confusing. Doing the session in Spanish made me pay a lot closer attention than I might have otherwise.
